How to Look Like You Were
Styled By a Professional -
While Actually Doing It Yourself For a Fraction of the Cost

Once You Master the Basics of Styling,
You'll Look Amazing From Day This Forward

Do you ever struggle with putting outfits together? Not really sure what goes with what? Ever looked at women in magazines or on TV and wished you could look like that?

You're not alone. If fact, if you're like most of the women who find their way here, you want...

  • Easy ideas for creating great outfits
  • Simple guidelines for what goes with what
  • Easy instructions for what to wear when
  • Fun ideas for special occasions
  • How to determine correct fit
  • A list of the best styles for your body type
  • Budget-friendly ideas that won't break the bank

Fashion magazines make it seem so easy.  But then why do celebrities hire stylists to help them dress?  That doesn't seem easy.  That seems hard.  And expensive.

It's not.

Learning how to style is a lot like learning how to type or ride a bike:  once you get the basics down, you can reap the benefits from years to come.

And make no mistake:  looking good consistently has tremendous benefits.  More attention.  More respect.  More money.

That's why celebrities hire stylists:  for the rewards.  The press coverage.  The accolades.  The endorsement deals.  Being “best dressed” isn't just “nice” - it's career enhancing.  It keeps their names front and center, a constant reminder to casting agents, magazine editors, and fashion companies that they've got their act together and a large fan following.  They're desirable and hireable.

Dressing well can do the same for you.

Ready to Get The Attention and Respect You Deserve?

You deserve to thrive financially, emotionally, and spiritually.  But it's hard to do when no one gives you the time of day.

Overlooked and ignored?I know, I've been there.  I know what it's like to be overlooked and ignored.  To:

  • Have someone else take credit for your work
  • Be treated rudely
  • Watch others get preferential treatment
  • Be excluded
  • Feel like you don't belong
  • Be pushed to the fringes while others enjoy the limelight and have all the fun

If you can relate, you're in the right place.  Because what I'm about to tell you could change everything for you.

It certainly did for me.

How I Went From Being Overlooked and Ignored to Being Admired and Adored
....By Total Accident

When I was in junior high, I was invisible - or I might as well have been for all the attention people paid me.  I wanted to be in the “in crowd” like the “cool kids,” but I didn't want to be bothered with clothes and makeup like all the popular girls.  It seemed stupid and superficial to me.  If that was the cost of being popular, count me out.

They did.

Way out.  The only time any of them gave me the time of day was when a teacher praised me for my writing skills in class.  But the limelight was short-lived.  I just couldn't keep their attention.

Then something happened one summer in high school.  A relative made fun of how I looked, and I got so mad, I decided to do something about it.  I lost weight.  I cut my hair.  I starting playing with makeup.  A total makeover.  When I went back to school that fall, no one recognized me.  They also didn't treat me the same.  They treated me better, with respect.  It was a total revelation.

Diana Pemberton SikesIt was also the start of a very different life.

Changing how I looked changed everything.  I went from being overlooked and ignored to being an honor student, athlete, dancer, model – and on and on.  Success breeds success.

It continued in the corporate world.  I enjoyed awards, promotions, raises – in large part because of how I dressed.  When you look like you belong, people treat you that way. They treat you how you treat yourself.

One night after work, I was invited to join a multi-level marketing makeup company.  I wasn't really interested, but I did like the makeup.  I went to a workshop on how to apply and sell it, and was so excited by what I learned that when I went back to work the next day and started telling everyone about it.  They complimented my makeup.  Then they asked me if I could show them how to do it.

It was nerve-wracking.  I hadn't intended to sell makeup – I liked fashion better – but soon, I was giving advice for both.

Then something amazing happened:  many of the women I worked with started telling me how much better people were treating them.  With respect.  With value.  With deference.  It was the same “aha” moment I'd had back in high school, but for other women.  Women I'd helped.

I was hooked.  I've been an image consultant ever since.

Because some of these women were in their 40s and 50s and had NEVER been given the respect they should have.  They'd toiled in mid-level jobs for years, doing way more work than they should have for far less pay than they deserved.  It was sad.

Until I showed them the way out.

Go From Workhorse to Racehorse
in Record Time

When you don't care about your appearance – or when you dress like everyone else because you're not sure how to dress - the odds are stacked against you.  The game is rigged.  You can work your fingers to the bone, have superior skills, be the only one who “gets things done” -  and still be overlooked and ignored.

Because you're the workhorse.  The pack mule.  The drone.

That's how management sees you.  They assume you're content to keep on doing what you're doing, because if you were interested in making a change, you'd dress better.  You'd dress like one of them.

“You should dress for the job you want, not the job you have.”

There's a reason that saying has been around for years:  because it's true.  If you dress like a workhorse, you'll be stabled with the workhorses.  If you dress like a thoroughbred, you'll be led to the race track.

They're two completely different worlds.

One is ruled by discontent and unhappiness.  The other by promise and opportunity.

If you're ready to move to the land of opportunity, dress better.  I'll show you how.

The Biggest Reason Why You May Not Know How To Dress Properly

When I work one-on-one with women and ask them who taught them how to dress, the answer is usually, “Nobody,” or “My mother, but she didn't know what she was doing.”

When I ask them if their mother sewed, the answer's almost always a laugh followed by, “No.”

That's the problem.

Mother and daughter sewingYou see, back when women sewed their own clothes at home, they learned which fabrics and colors went together and which styles suited them best.  They knew what was appropriate for different occasions and how to use accessories.  If they were going to spend hours or days putting together an outfit, they were invested.  They wanted it right.

But that started to change in the 1940's when women went to work while men were at war.  “Rosie the Riveter” was tired after a long day at work and wasn't interested in sewing.  She'd rather just buy ready-made clothes instead.  A generation later, buying instead of making became commonplace as women joined the work force in the 1970's.

That's when the sewing industry largely came to a standstill and most women stopped learning about fabric, fit, and clothing construction.  If your mother or grandmother never learned to sew, chances are, they never learned to dress properly, either.  Which means they couldn't pass it down to you.

Which means that you're suffering the consequences.

And you may not even realize it.

Why Learning The Details Pays off Handsomely

I took my sewing education for granted.

As I started modeling and performing as a teen, I was called to participate in different events like shows and pageants.  I was even invited to a ball.  On each of those occasions, my mother spent a few days trying to track down appropriate apparel for me in our home town of Colorado Springs.  If she couldn't find it, she'd drag me to the fabric store instead.

It was there that I learned about seasonal fabrics, evening fabrics, fabric weight, and the like.  I learned how to do things like match the mood of buttons to the mood of the fabric to the mood of the accessories, etc.  We'd spend HOURS dissecting all the details, like necklines, sleeves, and hems.

It was torture.

I had NO interest in sewing – I just wanted the end result.  But I couldn't very well tell my mother that since she was the one doing all the work.  I patiently tried on half-made garments, carefully avoiding pins.  I tried them on with different shoes.  Different belts.  Different accessories.

Because my mother was also an interior designer.  She didn't do furniture, she did “rooms.”  She didn't do clothes, she did “outfits.”  Head to toe, top to bottom.  Focal point, rule of three, right length, right fit, the whole bit.  The aesthetic had to be right.  Otherwise, it would drive her crazy.  And then she'd drive us crazy.

But it wasn't for naught.

Modeling daysBecause back when I was modeling in the 1980's, there was no such thing as a fashion stylist.  Some photographers had assistants who did similar things that fashion stylists do today, but most didn't.  Nope, it was usually just the photographer and me and maybe someone from the store we were shooting for.

Which means the styling usually fell to me.

Fortunately, because of what my mother had taught me, I carried a big bag of stuff to get the job done.  Different shoes, different accessories, different classic clothing pieces.  I played with hair and makeup.  I'd come up with different ideas.

I made the photographers' job easy - and I made them look good.

Which means they typically hired me again and again.

It was a lesson that propelled me far in fashion - and in other fields.

It can do the same for you.

How To Cash In On The
Fashion Styling Gold Rush

Rachel ZoeNow I have to confess that when I first heard about fashion styling 15 years ago, I had no idea what it was.  It literally took me years to realize that the service celebrity stylists were being paid thousands of dollars a day for was the same process my mother had taught me:  how to dress.

How to match the clothing and accessories to the wearer and the occasion, just like my mother used to do at the fabric store.

I was gobsmacked that anyone would pay for this.  Thousands?  Really?  For something they could do themselves?

But it wasn't just for red carpet events.

It started out that way, but soon celebrities got so used to being treated well on the red carpet that they started hiring stylists for all their work-related activities, like movie premieres, press junkets, television interviews, and the like.  They started negotiating stylists services into their movie and television contracts.  Stylists became the new status symbol.  Celebrities started bragging about, “Not being able to do anything” without their stylists.

Soon other industries followed suit, most notably those in the public eye.  Politicians, socialites, speakers, authors, television reporters – anyone who was going to be photographed wanted to use a stylist.

Because when your image can be sent around the world in a flash via social media, you want to look good.  Even if you have to pay through the nose for it.

Fortunately, you don't have to.

Fortunately, you can get all the benefits of having a Hollywood stylist on speed dial without the cost.  Because once you learn the basics of fashion styling, you can look fabulous from here on out.

Fashion Style BlueprintImagine...

How I Know This Can Work For You

I know my programs work, not just because of the impact the information has had on my life, but on the impact it's had on my clients as well.

Check out these inspiring stories.  If they can do this, so can you.

I just want to thank you for creating these ebooks.  For the first time in my life I have clothes I really like, that I feel right in, and that really look fabulous from head to toe.  My whole outlook on life has changed for the better.

"I'm a 64 yr old retired nurse working part time.  My wardrobe consisted almost entirely of sportswear I guess I thought I looked younger or felt younger in that style.  I was badly in need of a change but didn't know where or how to get started.  Luckily I found you on the Internet and learned my body shape and colors.  From there I picked out 2 pr. of slacks, sweaters and camis in my neutral colors that can be mixed and matched, this took me 2 weeks.  After seeing how nice I looked in these outfits I was sold on the wardrobe capsule concept.  It just keeps on getting better and better."

Jackie Cade, Nashwauk, M

I don't have any ideas on what could improve your website.  I think this is the best thing I have ever seen on the web and I do a lot of reading on this subject.  I have learned so much from the emails you send out.  Your advice in my opinion is worth the time it takes in my day.  There are a lot of advice columns regarding clothing and yours stands out.  I feel like I have finally found an amazing source of advice that I can trust and I don't have to keep searching elsewhere.  Thanks for all you do."

Gloria Fielding

I must say that all your ebooks are so much better and more detailed than anything I have seen for fashion before.  Some of the information I am familiar with, but this is the first time I have ever had it all in one place.  Thank you so much!"

Jennifer Crawford, Tualatin, OR

Many thanks for your wisdom and guidance!"

Linda McQuinn, Lisbon, NY

I'm happy to report the 'shopping experience' has been totally transformed!  For the first time in years I now KNOW what it is I'm looking for and find it without expending so much time and energy.  The change has been like night and day.

"Thank you so much for your valuable ideas."

While some of the early lessons may be a review for my long term readers, most of this material is completely new. You haven't seen it from me, and you certainly haven't seen it from anyone else.

Because while most of the fashion industry tends to look at what's great here and now, I prefer to look backward to see what has withstood the test of time. What I discovered amazed me. Color combinations, fabrics, embellishments – I now understand why some trends were so popular, and the real reason behind “The Kate Effect.” I share all that with you in Fashion Style Blueprint.

Since I signed up for your newsletter, I'm more colorful and happier.  You have made a difference in my life!  Just thought I'd let you know."

Andrea Drongosk, Wichita, KS

I have to say that this is a fantastic support tool that really focuses me quickly on seeing what is in my wardrobe and working out why what I thought was just the right style and cut for me when I bought the garment, somehow didn't work at all when I started wearing it.  This package is wonderful as a companion to your Wardrobe Magic ebook."

What Will I Get Out of
Fashion Style Blueprint?

Once you've completed the course, you'll know how to style clothes for various occasions and be able to put together head-turning outfits in a flash.

As your skill grows, so will your reputation for always dressing well.  You'll get to enjoy all the attention and respect that comes from treating yourself well, because remember:  people treat you how you treat yourself.  The better you dress, the better you'll be treated.

Once you get the strategy down pat (it won't take long), you'll enjoy all the success that comes from looking sharp and having your act together.

Can't I Just Figure This Out On My Own?

Of course!  But you'll spend a lot of time and money on trial and error doing so.

I know, because I've been in countless client closets and seen the mistakes of wardrobes past hanging there, unworn – often with the price tags still on them.  Sometimes it's thousands of dollars.  Sometimes it's tens of thousands.

Had they hired me sooner – or grabbed one of my programs – they could have learned to dress, invested that wasted clothing money, and dressed well for years to come.  Expensive, expensive mistake.

Because dressing well doesn't come naturally for many women, particularly those who didn't have a well-dressed woman influencing them growing up.  It's like learning another language:  it's really easy if you learn it as a kid and speak it regularly in your household – not so much if you don't.

One of my clients had more than $11,000 in clothes hanging in her closet with the price tags still on them.  Her husband hired me because she'd bought so many clothes, they were crowding him out of his half (quarter?) of their enormous walk-in closet, and he'd had enough of it.  I set up portable clothing racks in their room to sort through all her clothes, and was shocked by how much waste there was.

Multiple duplicates of tops, dresses, and suits.  Odds and ends that didn't go with anything else.  More shoes than she could wear in a lifetime.  And, shockingly, more than $11,000 worth with the price tags still on them.

By the time we got through all of it, and looked at the handful of pieces she wore regularly, the path became very clear:  I set her up with a core “personal uniform” and showed her how to style it in dozens of ways.  She looked like a movie star.

She returned the unworn clothes she could, consigned or donated the rest, and shrunk her wardrobe to a fraction of the size.  Once she got rid of all the clutter and confusion, she dressed better, looked better, and felt better.  Oh - and her husband was ecstatic.

Without the right information and mentor, you can be struggling for years – spending money you don't need to spend and causing friction in your household.  I know.  I've seen women do just that.

Why go that route?

Invest in the education you need to get from Point A to Point B and skip the trial and error.  It's the most logical course there is.

Get Ready to Enjoy the Admiration and Respect That Comes From Looking Like You Have a Hollywood Stylist on Speed Dial

Learning how to dress and style yourself is like learning how to type, swim, or ride a bike – once you learn what to do, you can enjoy the benefits for years to come.

You'll have more confidence, more savvy, more...swagger.

Because when you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good it shows.  People treat you better.  They open doors.  They defer to you.  They get out of your way.

How can they not?

Fashion For Real WomenWhen you look like you just stepped out of a fashion magazine, they'll just assume you're important. Because you are important. If you've got the brains and savvy to know that your brains and savvy need a better, sleeker package, you'll reap every reward that comes from it, including:

  • More attention
  • More respect
  • More money
  • Better offers

It's how our world works.

If you're ready to see what that feels like, join me for Fashion Style Blueprint.  It's one of the best decisions you'll ever make.

Applying Just a Few of These Strategies
Will Easily Pay Back Your Investment

How much money in unworn clothes do you have sitting in your closet right now?  Why aren't you wearing them?  Because they don't fit?  Because they're not “you?”  Because you bought them on impulse?

I bet it's more than the cost of this course.  Heck, I bet it's more than 10x the cost of this course.  Because most women wear 20% of their clothes 80% of the time.  They have great intentions with stuff they buy, but never quite get around to wearing them.

Don't make that mistake.

Learn which clothes and accessories to buy, wear them often styled in a variety of ways, and enjoy the attention and respect you get for being well dressed consistently.  It really is like a whole new world.

I am totally impressed with the content you have put together in The Industry Darling course. I would never expect that a fashion class could be the doorway for such valuable and specific career advice.

"I have had a successful twenty year career in sales, but purchased the course because I am planning to enter a different field, one with a different vibe and dress requirements. Your class provided information that far exceeded my expectations. Thanks so much!"

Catherine Antunes, Sarasota, FL

Thanks so much for your advice!  I got the job as the newest biology teacher at {name withheld by request} in Rocklin, CA.  I am so thrilled!

"You're right, if you look the part for the job, it's easy for people to visualize you in that job.  I am so grateful!"

How Much Does It Cost?

I thought long and hard about this one.

I've included a lot of detail here and given a lot of insight that I usually reserve for my high paying personal clients. This is, by far, the biggest course I've ever offered, and it includes details you won't find anywhere else. Ninja secrets no one else is teaching.

The test group that previewed it felt $997 was appropriate. In fact, they encouraged me to make it high so only those serious enough to appreciate and implement the information would have access to it. I must say I was tempted. Fewer sales but more serious clients? Always a win-win.

But that price keeps it out of the hands of those who could really use it. So, after much thought, I've decided to offer it for $497.

Yes, it's an investment, and no, it's not for everyone.

It's about what you'd pay a personal shopper for an afternoon of shopping to find clothes that suit you, or about a 1/10th of what you'd pay a New York or LA stylist for a single red carpet event.

Or, you could invest in yourself and learn the best styles for YOU and use the information for years to come. Which earrings suit you best. Which color is best for closing sales. How to get the Edith Head feminine edge in negotiations. Stuff most personal shoppers and Hollywood stylists have no idea how to do, because they think in terms of photo ops instead of careers.

One time or a lifetime. It's up to you.
